A few years back, I had the lovely opportunity of visiting Butterfly World in Coombs, BC.
It was a lovely walk around.
My hubby had joined me, and we enjoyed the many bird and butterfly species flying about.
There were some other creatures and an entire room of orchids!
Now, I have not really been a fan of orchids, I just did not get it.. but seeing the many variations was incredible.
I was thrilled to even see a Lady Slipper. Something that brought back some wonderful childhood memories of my Dad and I, roaming the back country of various areas of Ontario, just to find the ever elusive Lady Slipper. We also found Trilliums and Picture Plants on our ventures – The Ontario and Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial flowers, protected of course!
My eldest son has always been a fan of turtles, so I was very happy to capture a few photos of these small but cute turtles!
My other son, liked lizards growing up… and were there ever some cool ones.
When you are in the Coombs area, I suggest taking some time out for yourself, and take a leisurely stroll through the gardens.
You will be pleasantly impressed – it’s not just for tourists :D
